My van has the privilege of a covered garage but the truck and land cruiser have to be dug out.
The dogs seem to enjoy the snow - I wish I enjoyed it as much as they do!
Remember that lovely view from the kitchen window? Well, here it is now. It will stay like this until April, more than likely. Winter has come too early this year. Oh well. I am going to try to, if not embrace it, at least get through it by getting out on the snow shoes and skis. Plus, I have my handy dandy snow-nut for sliding down hills. When the lake freezes we will have to try pulling it with the quad.
Oh yes, that picture of the woodshed - you can see the snow has blown in as there is no door. That is a project we will do this week, I hope. Since the barn doors worked so well, we thought we would build one for the woodshed too. Well, to phrase it more honestly, I thought Dennis should build one for the woodshed.
Ok, more tomorrow.
That is what it looks like here today. I just spent an hour and a half shoveling & it looks like I will have to do it again later. Right now I am drinking warm pumpkin chai tea so I am happy for the moment.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as Chris got to work he was sent to a crash on hwy 37 towards Kitimat. Let the "winter fun" begin! Thoughts on joining Susan in Kamloops? Nah, Mexico still sounds better!
We have another at least 6 inches over night. Grant, our neighbour, measured the snowfall and says we have a total of 18 inches and it is still snowing! The vehicles look like they were never cleared. Chris may as well keep his boots on as I am sure he will be busy. People just don't seem to slow down for changing conditions. Enjoy your tea!
DeleteYes, Chris no sooner got finished up with the one crash & got sent to another :( People not slowing down is like they are wandering the streets randomly shooting a gun! You never know when you are going to get hit! That said, it is almost time for me to go to town. I will be praying all the way there.
Deletewhhhhhhhhhatttttttt??? Mexico is better than the loops and me?? well, that's just hurtful! hahahaaaaaa...
DeleteHa ha! Don't take it personally Susan! Right now anywhere in Canada, no matter who's there, comes in a distant second to Mexico!
DeleteOk, just looked at your photos! I think we may have to relocate down that way! Dennis has always said he wants to move to that area so if anyone wants to buy this farm....
